It was Winter Festival out at Lake Louise this past weekend. For many years we have wanted to go but timing or weather has prevented us. This year the weather was abnormally warm here in the city and the kids are all for ice skating in new places, so off we went.
It was a lot cooler in the mountains....like, a lot,.....and very busy, but we still had fun. There were lots of pretty ice sculptures to look at and we all got some time skating on the lake in front of the frosted trees all around the Chateau Lake Louise. My sister and brother-in-law decided to join us - even though they haven't been ice skating for many years! They did great.
