A week ago Neela's school called to let us know that Neela would be presented with this month's RRSP Award (Responsibility, Respect, Safety and Praise) for demonstrating these qualities as a student. Each month every teacher chooses 2 or 3 students from their class as recipients. Neela has been hoping to be chosen since school started; Nigel and I have been encouraging her to demonstrate the qualities regularly - and it worked. =)
Neela didn't know she was getting the award and I attended to the ceremony without telling her. She was so surprised...and proud!
