(Scary) September 2016

September is usually one of the hardest months of the year....so I've started calling it Scary September.  The transition from laid-back-summer to full-on-refocus is always a bit of a shocker that takes some time to get used to.

School starts....activities fire up....work ramps up....birthday season is in full force.

Here we are in the first week of October and I still haven't caught my breath.

A few quick recaps:

After dragging our feet all summer we finally built a shed in our backyard.  Nothing like waiting until September to get it started. But it came out great and will do the job we need it to do.

We cleaned out our garden.  I think we did well for our first solid try.  We had plenty of carrots, lots of pea, lots of tomatoes, some zuchinni, herbs, and a few strawberries.

The kids started Grades 2 and Grade 5.  Gosh, where has the time gone?!

Ashton turned 7!  We had a family celebration at home on his actual birthday and then he had a party with friends at the Calgary Climbing Center, which was a huge hit!  Kids love to climb!

The kids restarted activities.  Neela is doing several dance classes while Ashton is trying Hapkido for the first time.

I continued to be busy with work.  It is award season and I've been blessed with an Award of Excellence from CPC and 3 TORI Award nominations from CDI.  Whew.  On top of that I was invited to join the exclusive Forbes Coaches Council.
