Start of Summer 2014

Two weeks in and summer is in full swing for Team Tom!  Wowee, what wonderful weather we are having - we all love it.  Two weeks of hot temps means lots of outdoor activities.

The week before summer started....Ashton 'graduated' from his gym class:

First week of July we visited Glennifer Lake - some of our friends have a place out there and took us boating.  Nigel did some wakeboarding and did really well!

Second week of July we started painting our fence.  It is a verrrry long fence and we have managed to get one coat on - 2nd coat to start whenever we feel up to it!

For the first time ever, we took the kids to the Calgary Stampede.  We went with my sister, brother in law, and my dad so it was a big family affair. The kids did great and we got an entire day of events packed in - rides, games, super dogs, bad food, and lots of people watching.

We all got our names printed on mini cans of coke and joked that this was 'our family - on coke'.

...her grandpa even took her on the big roller coaster, and she loved it!

This was my only real ride of the day and it was a surprising doozy.  I think my butt touched the slide for only a quick few seconds I got so much air going down!  My sister and I screamed more than the kids!
