He did it - Ashton completed his first year of preschool; today was his last day of class! Seems just like yesterday I was dropping him off for the first time, unsure how he would react and hoping he would enjoy himself.
He had a great year though - he adored his teachers and he made many new friends. I saw him change and mature over the year...becoming more social, more understanding, and more outgoing. I think Ashton is a bit sad to leave, but he is also struggling with the concept of time and growing up. He doesn't quite understand what 'summer vacation' means, nor does he completely grasp that next year he will be in a different classroom, with different teachers, and different kids. I hope he enjoys his summer off and is ready to race back to the class this September.
