Halloween 2012

This post is a bit late and there hasn't been much to report on until now (it was a heads-down September and October, but things are settling down).

This Halloween was a wintry one. We have lots of snow and it has been feeling more like February than October. But alas, Halloween must go on!

Carving pumpkins.  The kids each drew their own design and we helped them carve it out.

Angry pumpkin...(trying to mimic the face)

Mad pumpkin....Grrrrr

Ashton really wanted to be a cat this year, but we had this cute fireman get-up someone had given us, so I convinced him to dress up in it for his preschool party.  He actually wore it and kept it on for the entire morning.

However, with the snow and the cold we decided that it didn't really matter what the kids wore trick-or-treating (as they were going to have to bundle up really well) so the cat costume made more sense. Ashton was thrilled!

 Meow!

Neela was supposed to go as a Hawaiian girl, but again it didn't make sense with the weather. So we improvised with a few fun accessories and she went as a fairy princess.

Voila! Cute...and warm.

The fog was so thick it was impossible to get a decent picture outdoors. Can you believe that the fog has been here solid for over a week now.  Yes, I am starting to feel like I live in a bubble.

Exploring the loot with the family. We made it up and down one entire block before everyone was too cold to go on.  Good thing the kids didn't care that the night was cut short...they still had full buckets.
