Changing Times

Calgary elected a new Mayor this week after a very exciting and close race between three candidates. I am very pleased with the new Mayor Elect = Naheed Nenshi. I was impressed by his 'current' campaign - utilizing social media and connecting more with the younger generation. He is well ahead of the times and has created an interesting change in our city and future politics! I was also impressed with voter turnout this election. I n the past only about 20% of eligible voters participated, and this year we saw just over 50%. Let's keep this number rising and continue to embrace the changes ahead.
