The past few weeks have been as busy as ever.
First, an update on the yard. Below is a picture of the new tree without snow! gasp. We are now building a new wall around the tree to better build up the soil around it. We hope to have the wall complete within the next week. More pics to come.
Neela
The past few weeks Neela has started to become more proficient at counting to 100. She plays and engages more with Ashton and is a perfect little mommy's-helper. The biggest change in Neela this month is her never ending chatter. She wants to tell us countless stories and engage us in conversation at all times. This gal's memory is picture perfect and she will suddenly start relaying events from a week, month or year past. She is also a terrible back seat driver, regularly exclaiming the speed limit and wanting to know why we are driving too fast, too slow or going the wrong way. Sigh. =)
This one is gonna be a looker! Watch out boys
Neela loves the outdoors
Oh, and she loves ice cream!
This past month we have watched in awe as Ashton continues to grow at a rapid pace. He is only eight months old, but he has mastered crawling and pulling to standing. He is working on his furniture surfing and scaling of the stairs. He is also just starting to stand unaided and balanced on his own - which Neela did just weeks before walking. We can not imagine what life will be like when he does start to walk. He is already a fearless explorer and our lives our completely different these days.
Ashton can now say: "Up, Mama and Dada". He is working on getting three teeth all at once this week and handling it quite well so far. His facial rash has all but cleared up, flaring up just occasionally for short periods of time. Now, if we could only get him to sleep at night for more than 10 hours straight. Yes, he sleeps through the night... but he wakes at the crack of dawn. Sigh.
