Neela got a fancy new doll from her Great Grandma for Christmas. This doll sits, stands up, walks and talks all on her own. It is a far cry from the dolls I had as a little girl. The most my dolls did was close their eyes when they were put down. This doll laughs when it is tickled and can get herself back onto her feet from a lying down position. Yes, you have to see it to believe it.
Neela herself has never been too interested in dolls, and is a bit wary of this new moving/talking toy. She has spent a bit of time trying it out, but still runs away if it moves too suddenly or does something new. When they doll cries out "Mommy!" Neela looks to me and says I need to help it! haha. Perhaps in time this new fun doll will become a best friend?
